If you look close you will see string, this is the water level height. The top of the wall has to be level all the way around, the house deck sits on it, the gazebo  floor sits on it

I like to call this the Post Planter

In the front side will be a Lace Leaf red Japanese maple, Outside of the gazabo . Inside will be a taller thinner small leaf Japanese maple, Inside the gazabo will be like a aviary  for some small finches and carney's, The fish will be able to be fed  inside as the pond goes under the Gazabo wall, And they can get some shade from the summer TEXAS heat.
